Check that:
Your storage directory permissions are correct
The files are being served with proper headers (especially Content-Type and Content-Disposition)
The filesystem driver (local/S3) is configured correctly in .env

After checking the Laravel logs, it was identified that the fpassthru() function was disabled. After enabling it, the issue was resolved.
